An Aussie Riesling under cork, not to mention the curious bottle, is a bit of a rarity. A fine vintage here, the colour is the palest of yellows. The nose is rather spicy. This is an edgy style with florals, lemon soaps – the aroma, not the taste, obviously – minerals and bath salts. A gently pleasing nose, even though it is not really the traditional Australian Riesling. The wine has focus, balance and a fine line of acidity. Enjoy this now and over the next six years.
